alleykat is a house and techno DJ and producer whose musical journey began in 2006 in a school orchestra. Classically trained and skilled in sight reading, she spent a decade performing viola in orchestras both inside and outside of school. Her passion for music deepened in 2011 when she was accepted into the Orange County School of the Arts for instrumental music. Around the same time she joined a rock band as a bass player and later transitioned into the Commercial Music Program where she trained across multiple genres including pop, rock, and funk. After graduating she continued performing as a bassist in a metal band before shifting into performance art. While performing at Noir Nights curated by Josh Balz of Motionless in White, she was encouraged to explore DJing. In 2019 she began her journey behind the decks and during the shutdown she mentored under her friend DJ Snowden. In the summer of 2020 she earned her first residency at Proof Bar alongside DJ MXR. In 2021 alleykat relocated to Las Vegas and joined her first national tour with Vampires Everywhere. By 2022 she had entered the nightclub circuit performing at major venues such as Time and Academy and opening for artists including MAKJ, Cash Cash, Laidback Luke, KLOUD, and Vinai. In 2023 she dove into the underground rave scene with high-energy hard techno sets at venues like Lickndip, FEVER, AfterMidnight, and Sxtcy. Now back in Los Angeles, kicking off motherhood, her momentum continued in 2025 with a national tour alongside Lords of Acid and Little Miss Nasty. As a producer she released her debut album State of Mind in 2023 followed by her latest album Just Press Play in May 2025. Her music has been featured on radio stations including Wild 94.9, iHeartRadio, and Vibe 99.7. alleykat brings technical musicianship, genre-spanning experience, and a relentless creative drive to every performance. She continues to push forward in both the club world and the underground with a sound that is bold, dynamic, and unmistakably her own.
